Road Closure Requests
Many times, Utility Companies and / or citizens request that the city close a lane or road for a short time for various activities. To do so you must have prior approval from the City of Marietta Public Works Department - Engineering Division. To request a lane or road closure, please fill out the online form below. It is advisable to carefully read the section from the MUTCD (Manual on Control Traffic Control Devices) PDF document as well as it pertains to your closure. You MUST select at least one typical sign application from the MUTCD for any Lane or Road Closure request. Utility Companies must also complete the "Application for Utility Construction Permit" (PDF/Excel). For questions please contact the Public Works department at 770-794-5709.
