Tips For Applying:
- Please state clearly the name of the position for which you are applying.
- Applications remain active for 90 days. After 90 days, you must submit a new application.
- Every open position will have closing date information at the bottom of the posting. Applications/resumes must be received in the Personnel Department (or must be postmarked) by the listed closing date in order to be considered.
- If the closing date is listed as "Open Until Filled", applications will be reviewed once a week by the Personnel Department and applicants who most closely match the requirements listed will be referred to the department for review. If you are interested in a position that has "Open Until Filled" as the closing date, it would be in your best interest to apply as soon as possible. "Open Until Filled" positions will be removed when the position is filled without further notice being given.
- Some positions require a valid driver's license and other positions may require a typing test. Please read the job posting closely to determine (1) if you need to provide a copy of your driver's license (photograph on license should be covered so no picture is shown), or (2) if you need to appear in person at the Personnel office to take a typing test. Unfortunately, any application submitted without a typing test (when required) or driver's license information (when required), will not be considered.
- We are sorry, but the City of Marietta/BLW Personnel staff must certify typing test results and, therefore, cannot accept typing test results from other sources.
