Fourth of July Parade Information

Thank you for your interest in The Marietta Let Freedom Ring Parade. The Fourth in the Park Festival includes arts and crafts, carnival games, entertainment, food concessions and an evening concert/fireworks display. Organizations are encouraged to enter a float in the parade as it adds additional excitement and flavor to the parade.

Registration Deadline

Registration for the 2009 parade is Friday, May 29 at 5:00 PM. No late registrations will be accepted. Complete the form(s) below and return to the Parks & Recreation office at 205 Lawrence Street.

Float Contest

Participating floats will be judged by a team based on originality, float design, use of color, use of theme, overall appearance and the effect of riders/costume on the float. See full contest rules for more information.

Parade Route

The 1-½ mile parade begins at the Roswell Street Baptist Church, travels west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square and Cherokee Street, and ends at North Marietta Parkway.

Shuttle Service for Participants

Cobb Community Transit is providing a shuttle service from Cobb County Police Headquarters (end of parade) back to the staging area. Parade participants are encouraged to utilize this service, as vehicles will not be permitted in the disbanding area to pick up participants. The shuttle service will run from 10:45 - 12:30 p.m.
