City Manager's Office

The City Manager's Office provides administrative services to the citizens of Marietta, the Mayor and Council members, the press and employees who work here. It is the responsibility of this office to see that the day-to-day business of city government runs smoothly and efficiently. Some of the more important functions of this department include:

  • Managing the operation of the City government

  • Communicating with Mayor, Council, citizens, employees, and press

  • Responding to citizens regarding their complaints, problems, and inquiries

  • Preparing agendas for committee and council meetings

  • Presenting to Council the City's annual budget

  • Managing the budget during the fiscal year

  • Forwarding plans and recommendations to Mayor and Council for action

  • Setting an example to all other departments of dedication to our work and efficient use of time
