Marietta Education and School System

Welcome Center Marietta City Schools serve approximately 8,000 students at eight elementary choice schools, one middle school, one sixth-grade school, and one high school at small neighborhood schools with the dynamics of an urban school district.

As the largest municipal utility in Georgia, Marietta Power and Water are community-owned and serve over 45,000 electric and nearly 20,000 water customers. The City of Marietta created the utility in 1906 to provide low cost electric power to the citizens of Marietta and Cobb County.
