Libraries
The Cobb County Public Library System provides both high-tech and traditional services. In addition to the Central Library in downtown Marietta, 16 branches are conveniently located throughout the county. Holdings include over 700,000 books, magazines, compact discs, videos and audiocassettes.
A central feature of the Cobb County Library System is access to GALILEO, an award- winning initiative of the University System of Georgia. This web-based system allows Georgia citizens access to multiple information resources, including more than 70 databases and over 3,000 journal and magazine titles in full text. GALILEO can be accessed from home with a free password provided by the library.
