REGGIE TAYLOR
Executive Director
Reggie is a native of Rockford, IL. He currently resides there with his wife Marvel and their two sons Marcus and Isaiah Taylor. Professionally he has over ten years of urban planning, community and economic development as well as affordable housing experience. Prior to his appointment as the Executive Director of the MRC he served as a Public Service Administrator with the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity serving the Northern Stateline Region. Before joining, the state of Illinois he served as the Community Development Director for the City of Freeport where he managed several community and economic development projects as well as state and federal Brown Fields grants.
He is a past two-term member of the Illinois Winnebago County Board serving the citizens of District 12 from 2000 to 2004. While on the County Board, he served as Chairman of the Legislative Committee and a member of the Public Safety and Economic Development Committees. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He holds a Master's of Science in Management from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, WI. He earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in Public Administration from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC.
TERESA R. SABREE
Redevelopment Project Manager
Teresa Sabree joined the Marietta Redevelopment Corporation as Redevelopment Project Manager in August 2004. She has a Bachelor of Science in Urban Policy Studies from Georgia State University. While at Georgia State she specialized in planning and economic development and completed coursework in policy research, urban planning, economics, real estate and urban development.
Sabree is a main point of contact for individuals seeking information on real property outside the downtown business district and industrial parks. She provides information to clients on a day-to-day basis who need help locating parcels or information on redevelopment opportunities within the City.
As Redevelopment Project Manager, Sabree provides research and analysis to assists in the establishment and management of Tax Allocation Districts and creation and implementation of Redevelopment Plans. She coordinates production of external communications, newsletters and web site content and assist in coordination of activities of the MRC Board of Directors. She also provides research and support services for the Office of Economic Development.
