MISSION STATEMENT

The principal mission of the Marietta Redevelopment Corporation is to strengthen the economic and residential base of the City by revitalizing neighborhoods, commercial areas and other distressed properties. The role of the MRC is to make strategic real estate investments in blighted areas, assemble properties for redevelopment where needed, and partner with the private sector to invest in our community.

Montgomery Park
Developer and Builder: Marietta Housing Authority

Montgomery Park is a Marietta Housing Authority initiative to replace the former Lyman Homes apartments with 45 single family homes. The new development is named for its Montgomery Street area location

Location

Located near North Marietta Parkway and Cherokee Street approximately 1.0 miles northeast of the Marietta Square and 2.0 miles from the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center and City Club golf course.

Project Details

Montgomery Parks homes are priced from the low $200,000s to the mid $300,000s. Thirty percent or approximately 15 homes at Montgomery Park will be reserved for entry level homebuyers, through the MHA Initiative for Homeownership Opportunities, to create a seamless mixed-income community.

Project Status

The Marietta Housing Authority completed demolition of existing buildings in spring 2007. Site infrastructure is scheduled to begin in 2008. A residential builder will be selected through a request for proposal process.
