Mixed use, commercial and residential redevelopment projects located in and around Downtown Marietta Tax Allocation Districts (TADs) are now in various stages of development and construction. The Marietta Redevelopment Corporation helps to ensure the success of redevelopment projects and success of neighborhood and commercial revitalization through monitoring of development and construction activity and continued communication and coordination with Developers, Builders, and other Real Estate professionals.
There are currently seven (7) active residential and mixed use projects within Marietta’s TADs in addition to projects that have already completed construction, sales and leasing. The majority of active redevelopment projects are located in the Roswell Street Renaissance Neighborhood Improvement District of the
Center City South Renaissance TAD which is located just east of the Marietta Square. Commercial office projects are currently in development and construction phases in the Center City Perimeter TAD beginning the revitalization of underutilized commercial corridors north and west of the Marietta Square.
At completion, redevelopment projects within Tax Allocation Districts will add approximately 860 housing units and 193,000 sq ft of office and retail space to Downtown Marietta neighborhoods. In addition, there are two additional significant redevelopment projects in Downtown Marietta, located just outside of redevelopment areas targeted by the MRC, representing an additional 54 units and 10,000 square feet of commercial office space.
