PROJECT DETAILS
Phase I of Marietta Walk is platted for 58 townhomes and 18 single-family detached homes. Phase II, is approved for construction of 45 condominiums and 50,000 square feet of office and retail space in two mixed-use buildings located along Powder Springs Street.

PROJECT HISTORY
After purchasing the former public housing site from the Marietta Housing Authority, the City of Marietta rezoned the property for Mixed Use Development and sold land to a metro area Developer through a Request for Proposals. Before the economic downturn site plans where approved and lots were developed for single-family and townhome construction. Plans have not yet been submitted for commercial development of parcels fronting Powder Springs Road, which is included in a Commercial Corridor Design Overlay District.

The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is approximately 10 miles from Marietta Walk.

Places of Interest – Marietta Walk is close to many places of interest, including the Cobb County Central Library, which is adjacent to the site, and a short distance from National and Confederate Cemeteries. Meeting Park is approximately one mile from the newly renovated Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center and the Marietta Golf Course and City Club.
Area Attractions – Marietta Walk and Marietta’s downtown neighborhoods have close proximity to Metro Area attractions. Popular attractions unique to the community include Six Flags White Water and American Adventures, located approximately 2-miles away, Dave & Buster's, located approximately 5-miles away, as well as Ice Forum at Town Center located approximately 7-miles, one of two indoor ice rinks in Metro Atlanta.

Henry Park, renovated in 2008, is adjacent to the neighborhood and features active and passive park space. Brown Park is a passive park only .6-miles from the site. Marietta Walk is a short drive or walk, less than1.9-mile, from the city’s Aviation Baseball/Softball Complex and approximately 1-mile from the Lawrence Street Recreation Center. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is just 5.7-miles west of the neighborhood. The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and Allatoona Lakes & Recreation Area are within 25 miles of neighborhood.
