The Detective Division includes 11 detectives and two crime forensic technicians. Detectives are responsible for investigating crimes against people and property.

Crimes against persons detectives investigate all major crime scenes including

• Homicide
• Robbery
• Sexual assault
• Kidnapping
• Child abuse / molestation

Crimes against property detectives investigate crimes such as

• Burglary
• Larceny
• Motor vehicle theft
• Pawn shop violations
