Organized Crime Unit (OCU)
An agent is assigned to the organized crime unit (OCU) under the umbrella of the MCS Task Force. OCU is an intelligence unit responsible for gathering information about criminal activity in the area. Their work focuses on prostitution, gambling, hate groups and other criminal activities that require an organized effort on the part of criminals.
DEA Task Force
The department has officers assigned to the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The agents serve in two different task forces with the DEA including one in Atlanta and another at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. They work undercover and as a team with DEA agents and officers from other jurisdictions to stop drug-trafficking efforts. Their work pays off in thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs and contraband removed from Marietta streets.
