MARIETTA – Blue Ridge Helicopters will be offering helicopter rides over Marietta from the Marietta Museum of History Aviation Wing Site on Saturday, September 6th, weather conditions permitting. Operational hours for the helicopter rides Saturday will be from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM. The cost of a helicopter ride is $40 per person (cash only) for a six to eight mile round trip aerial tour of Marietta allowing passengers to see the Big Chicken, White Water, Kennestone Hospital, Kennesaw Mountain, Marietta Square, Marietta Conference Center and more.
Each ride can include up to three passengers in the helicopter at a time provided overall weight restrictions are within the limitations of the aircraft (no one over 270 lbs.). There are no age restrictions, but cost is per seat so price for a child is same as an adult. Reservations are not necessary because rides are on a first come, first serve basis, but wait times normally do not exceed 30 minutes.
A portion of the cost of the ride benefits the Marietta Museum of History Aviation Wing. The Aviation Wing Museum Site is at 550 Perrin Road, Marietta, just off Atlanta Road south of South Cobb Drive.
All additional questions about the helicopter operations should be directed to Blue Ridge Helicopters at 770-963-0590. In the event of inclement weather, please call the Museum of History at 770-794-5710 to see if the rides are taking place.
