The Marietta City Council is seeking resumes and/or letters of interest from individuals interested in serving on the Ethics Committee as the Council appointment. The City Council will make the appointment to fill the vacancy following personal interviews. Applicants must be residents of the City of Marietta and be able to serve a two-year term.
The purpose of the Ethics Committee is to review all complaints filed against City Council Members and determine whether there is clear and convincing evidence that a member has violated the ethics code. The Ethics Committee consists of three persons, one appointed by the Mayor, one appointed by the Council, and the third appointed by the first two above named subject to approval by a majority of the City Council.
