The City of Marietta would like to congratulate the WellStar Health System for its hard work and commitment to better serving its patients and their families by joining the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
By using digital technology to promote physician collaboration and sharing medical information, experts from WellStar and Mayo Clinic will work together to further enhance the care of its patients. Furthermore, patients will now be able to avoid unnecessary travel for answers to complex medical questions thanks to technology like eConsults and AskMayoExperts where providers have 24/7 access to Mayo-vetted medical information and guidelines.
With more than 13,000 team members, WellStar is one of the largest health systems in the Southeast and it is the largest not-for-profit health system in Georgia. WellStar currently serves a population of more than 1.4 million Georgians in five counties, all of whom will now have access to the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
"I want to both thank and congratulate WellStar Health System for joining the Mayo Clinic Care Network," said Mayor Steve Tumlin. "WellStar's continued efforts to provide quality healthcare to its patients makes their organization an integral part of our community."
