On February 14, 2014, Marietta City Council reappointed individuals to the Board of Lights and Water and the Marietta Redevelopment Corporation (MRC).
Reappointment to the Marietta Board of Lights and Water
City Council reappointed Terry Lee to the Board of Lights and Water for a four-year term expiring March 10, 2018.
About the Marietta Board of Lights and Water
The Board of Lights and Water provides high quality, reliable, and competitive utility services to customers and a fair return to the citizens of Marietta. The Board creates, builds, operates and supplies water systems, electrical systems, cable television systems, sewer systems, telecommunications systems, and other utilities; regulates rates in the city; and offers services to Marietta residents at a fair and equitable rate.
Reappointments to the MRC Board
City Council also reappointed Ray Buday, Ron Francis, Terry Lee and George Bentley to the Marietta Redevelopment Corporation Board of Directors for two-year terms expiring April 10, 2016.
About the MRC
The MRC helps revitalize neighborhoods, commercial areas and other distressed properties to strengthen the tax base of the city; advises City Council on redevelopment matters and helps implement its redevelopment expectation for Marietta; carefully evaluates redevelopment opportunities and reuse options for assembled properties; and facilitates private and public investment for redevelopment projects.
