Are you looking for a unique holiday gift for someone special? How about a helicopter ride over Marietta where passengers get to see the Marietta Square, the Big Chicken, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Kennesaw Mountain and more from the air!
Whether you need that unique holiday gift, a special place to make a marriage proposal, a birthday or anniversary gift, to mark off that helicopter ride on your bucket list or just simply get a bird's eye view of our City be sure to come by the Marietta Museum of History Aviation Wing off Atlanta Road at South Cobb Drive on Saturday, January 4, 2014, to purchase a helicopter ride from Blue Ridge Helicopters.
Weather permitting, helicopter rides will be offered from 10 AM until 3 PM at a cost of $40 per person (cash only) for a six to eight minute flight covering about a seven mile round trip over Marietta.
Up to three people can ride in the helicopter at a time depending on weight restrictions (no one over 270 lbs. for safety reasons) and there isn't an age restriction. Reservations are not available, so all rides are on a first come, first serve basis. Wait times normally do not exceed 30-45 minutes, so you can look at the majority of former military and other aircraft on display at the museum while waiting for your time to ride.
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Marietta Museum of History Aviation Wing.
