Lieutenant, Homeland Security - Cliff Bolen
Cliff Bolen began his career with the Marietta Fire Department in 1999. In 2002 he was able to further his EMS skills by obtaining his Paramedic license. Cliff then began work within the Fire Prevention Division on Air 54 as the on-shift inspector. In 2005 he was promoted to Firefighter Engineer where he worked at various stations throughout the City of Marietta. Cliff has been assigned to the Haz-Mat Team as a Technician as well as a period time spent on Squad 52, Marietta's technical rescue truck. In 2009, he found his way back to the Fire Prevention Division by once again being assigned to Air 54 as the on-shift inspector. He remained in this position until March of 2012, when he was then promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assigned to the Training Division. While in Training, Cliff has been assigned the very important position of Homeland Security Officer. In this position he keeps the city's crisis management center in operating order as well as updating and maintaining the city's emergency management plans.
Lt Bolen has numerous certifications in Arson Investigation, Inspections, Hazardous Materials as a Technician, and is a Fire and Life Safety Educator as well. Cliff is certified to instruct Swift Water Rescue, CPR, and is a NPQ Fire Instructor.
