The Applicant Portal and Waiting List are CLOSED
The City of Marietta Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) is a U. S. government program totally funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) which allows the City to assist a total of 654 eligible families to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing. When a number of families leave the program, vouchers may be issued to eligible families from the list.
On February 5, 2010, over 7,000 applicants were placed on the City’s waiting list. Almost four (4) years later, less than 100 vouchers have been issued; therefore, in order to prevent false hopes among over 5,000 applicants still on the list, the City HCV Program APPLICANT PORTAL and WAITING LIST ARE CLOSED effective October 31, 2013.
Only families with position numbers 1 through 251 will be considered to form a pool of eligible applicants for possible selection over the next two (2) to three (3) years. All others should seek assistance from other agencies. The Georgia Department of Community Affairs provides rental assistance throughout Georgia.
