Photo Red-Light Violation
Violations are enforced through photo equipment and are different from other usual traffic violations and have no impact on driving record or insurance.
Payment of this civil penalty will not become part of a person’s driving record, or used by insurance companies in calculating motor vehicle insurance premiums or result in criminal conviction.
Notice of violation is mailed to the registered owner of vehicle that allegedly failed to stop or crossed white stop line on road and entered intersection after light turned red
Maximum penalty for violation: $70, late fees of $25 will be imposed every 30 days fine is unpaid up to $100 in late fees. Unpaid violations may be transferred to collection agency and reported to credit bureaus.

I never received the first notice. How can I get a copy of the red light violation?
Contact the Red Light Division at 770-794-5261. You must provide the tag number or violation number. The violation number may begin with RW or RA.
I was not the driver of the car. Why did I receive this violation?
The registered owner of the vehicle receives all correspondence regarding red light violations.
If you no longer own this vehicle, please contact the Tax Commissioner’s office in your county to make any corrections to the ownership of the vehicle. An Affidavit of Non-Responsibility must also be submitted to the court using the link listed above.
If you are the registered owner of this vehicle but were not driving at the time of the violation, you may submit an Affidavit of Non-Responsibility to the court using the link listed above.
My car was stolen. How should I handle this?
You must provide a police report indicating the vehicle was stolen prior to the issue date on the red light violation. The Prosecutor will review the matter and the court will notify you as to his decision.

What if I don’t pay the violation before the due date?
A late fee of $25 is imposed for each 30-day period that the violation remains unpaid.
