MARIETTA, GA - Get your taste buds and dancing shoes ready for Taste of Marietta, one of the largest and most exciting food festivals in Georgia, as it celebrates its 24th year on Sunday, April 30.

This year's festival on the Marietta Square will host more than 80 restaurants from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will close the evening with a special performance by TRIBUTE: a celebration of the Allman Brothers Band at 5 p.m. on the Glover Park Stage.

"People from all over the state come to Taste of Marietta every year because it is such a fun outdoor festival with plenty to do, hear, see and taste," said Marietta Visitors Bureau Executive Director Katie Peterson. "We look forward to providing another great 'Taste' experience this year as the festival continues to grow."

Nearly doubling in size over the past ten years, Peterson said the festival played host to more than 80,000 visitors last year and she expects that number to increase with this year's festival, weather-permitting.

Admission to the event is free and visitors can purchase as many tastings as they like - ranging from Italian to seafood, steak to BBQ, ice cream to doughnuts - for just $1 to $5 each.  The food truck lineup, always a crowd favorite, returns with nearly a dozen different trucks. Beer and wine will also be available for sale throughout the festival.

Little Debbie, one of this year's newest sponsors, will also be giving out free samples of its Mini Muffins.

In addition to the delectable bites from restaurants and caterers, the family festival will feature the Kids Alley, complete with moonwalks and sand art.  Musical entertainment can be heard throughout the festival from the Cobb Life Stage and the Main Band Stand in Glover Park. The day will conclude with the Sunset Concert featuring TRIBUTE: a celebration of the Allman Brothers Band on the Main Band Stand at 5 p.m.  Evening concert tables may be reserved, but concertgoers can also bring blankets and chairs.

This flavorful event is hosted by the Marietta Visitors Bureau in conjunction with the City of Marietta.  For additional information or to reserve your concert table, visit tasteofmarietta.com or call the Marietta Visitors Bureau at 770-429-1115.
