MARIETTA - On Friday, March 24th, 2017, the Marietta Museum of History will continue its popular monthly program, the Remember When Club.  In its third year, the Club explores what life was like in Cobb County when Highway 41 was known as the 4 lane, everyday shopping was done on the Square and life was just a little bit simpler.

The Remember When Club discusses a different topic each month with a panel of guests that share their memories.  The Club encourages the audience to participate by sharing their memories as well.  This month, we will be discussing what makes Powder Springs the “Mayberry” of Cobb County. Panelists led by Lowell Lovinggood of the Seven Springs Museum will recount fond memories of Powder Springs and the good ole’ days they are trying to preserve.

This event is held the 4th Friday of every month through October in the first Floor Virginia Tumlin Room at 10:30am.  If you have a topic that you think would be good for the club or know of a person who could speak on our upcoming topic(s), please contact Museum staff at 770-794-5710 or info@mariettahistory.org

When: Friday, March 24th starting at 10:30am

Where: Marietta Museum of History, 1 Depot Street, Marietta, GA 30060

Cost: FREE but donations are greatly appreciated!  If you would like to tour the Museum before or after the event, the cost is $5 per person.
