MARIETTA – Keep Marietta Beautiful is pleased to co-host the 9th Annual Cherokee Heights Arts Festival (CHAF) on November 11, 2017 from 9am-4pm. The Festival is on Etowah Drive between Freyer and Seminole Drives. There is no admission charge, all parking is free, and everyone is invited!

Cherokee Heights is a 1924 National Historic Register subdivision just a mile north of the Marietta Square.  For many years, residents of this quaint neighborhood had produced a boutique, invitation-only art show to share their talents with friends.  In 2009, they moved the show outdoors and threw it open to the world. We now offer the creative work of more than thirty neighbors and friends for this one day each year.  This year’s artists include our neighbors in Blair Valley and Montgomery Park and Baptist Town. The show will cover the entire block of Etowah Drive between Freyer and Seminole drives, just one block off Cherokee Street.  You can see a free preview of some of the neighborhood artists’ work at the First Landmark Bank, 307 N. Marietta Parkway, Marietta starting October 11th

On November 11th, two music “stages” will spill around grassy corners onto Freyer Drive and Seminole Drive and will feature local musicians in free performances throughout the day.  Lovingly made local arts and crafts include original paintings, wood work, pottery, graphics, photography, jewelry, metal work, textiles, baked goods, original books and much more.  Your kids will love our free art-play children’s booths managed by Nerdy Baby, Inc. and by Toni Phillips. There are lots of Christmas gifting possibilities.  Santa Claus himself will be available for Christmas photos all day.

This show is free to all, courtesy of neighborhood sponsorships by First Landmarks Bank, Keep Marietta Beautiful, Inc., Nerdy Baby, Inc., Andy on Call, Traton Homes, Northwest Exterminating, W.D. Little Mortgage Corporation, and Marietta Dental Associates.
