MARIETTA – The City of Marietta is pleased to announce it will partner with the Marietta Art Council to celebrate Marietta’s long-awaited Mountain to River Trail on April 14-15, 2018 during the M2R Trailfest
The M2R Trailfest will stretch from Lewis Park near WellStar Kennestone Hospital, through the Marietta Square and ends in Brown Park. Be there from the beginning as attendees travel along the trail and enjoy a wealth of artistic talent as the trail will feature performing and visual artists along Marietta’s new Mountain to River Trail.
Call to Artists
The juried art festival will focus on three themes: the experience of living in Marietta, health and well-being and/or the history of Marietta. All installations will be outdoors for a minimum of two days and visual art installations will have a maximum display time of 60 days. Interested artists and art groups should visit www.m2rtrail.com and submit their application by January 8th, 2018.
Although many TrailFest artists are able to donate their talents to the inaugural festival free of charge, some do require payment for their materials, time and products.
