As one of the largest municipal electric utilities in Georgia, Marietta Power is a community-owned utility serving more than 45,000 electric customers. It was created by the city of Marietta in 1906 to provide low-cost electric power to the citizens of Marietta and Cobb County.

Our mission is to be a proven and respected provider of utility and related services. We pledge to provide high-quality, reliable and competitive services to our customers and a fair return to the citizens of Marietta.

A board comprised of city and county citizens governs the actions of the Marietta Board of Lights and Water, ensuring that all utility customers are represented and the economic benefits of the utility are retained by the community.

Marietta Power is a member of the American Public Power Association (APPA), which is comprised of 2,000 non-profit, publicly owned and operated utilities in the United States serving more than 43 million customers.
