About the event

From Lewis Park near WellStar Kennestone Hospital, through the Marietta Square and ending in the Marietta Confederate Cemetery, M2R TrailFest will feature artists of every kind along the trail as attendees discover the path and the city’s wealth of artistic talent.

On Saturday, April 14, the festival starts at 3pm with a ribbon cutting for the trail to kick off the day's festivities.  Art performances, live music, food trucks, and visual installations stretch throughout 2 miles of the trail and offer an immersive celebration of the arts for all ages from 3-8pm.  The festivities continue on Sunday, April 15, as we host additional performing acts along the trail between 12-4pm.

About the trail

The City of Marietta is in the final stages of constructing its newest trail, the Mountain to River (M2R) Trail.  More than 15 years in the making, the Mountain to River trail stretches from Kennesaw Mountain, continues through the Marietta Square, and ends at the City limits on Atlanta Street. It serves as the backbone for future growth of Marietta's planned trail system which will connect resident pedestrians and cyclists from across the City of Marietta.  Even better, the Mountain to River Trail will connect separated trail systems from across Cobb County.  An area resident will soon be able to start on the Noonday Creek trail, catch a quick breakfast on the Marietta Square, and continue down to the Silver Comet Trail without getting in the car! In celebration of this great addition to our community, join us for the grand opening of the Mountain to River Trail at Trailfest!
